The Agonda beach is a small, picturesque beach and is situated in the South of Goa. It is 37 kms from the town of Margao. It is next to Palolem beach but is rather deserted as it is a bit difficult to reach from the main cities. Nature lovers can find peace of mind on arriving at agonda beach.
Agonda beach is a lonely beautiful cove of white sand that is filled with palms and casuarina trees. It is a 3 km long stretch of land with the ocean on one side and small hills on the other. The beach gives a touch of solitude as it is not much visited by tourists.
If you are looking forward to some adventure, hire a tent and spend the night camping on the beach, under the starry skies, listening to the crashing of the waves against the shore.
Swimming too far at Agonda beach is not safe.
One can reach agonda beach by means of taxis and motorbikes as not many buses ply to this beach from Margao and Panaji.
